Happy Wheels has been released just as the devastating, blasphemous death of Flash technology approaches. That was truly a tense moment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully, the anxiety over losing Happy Wheels hasn't kept you from getting a good night's sleep. If you weren't aware that this project was in development, here's some exciting news for you. As this is the first public release, please bear with us as we work through any remaining bugs. While I personally still prefer Flash, what I appreciate about this version is its excellent performance on mobile devices. Currently, however, there are no on-screen mobile controls included in this release. Rest assured, these will be added in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you're eager to try it out on your phone right now, a Bluetooth keyboard works very well as an alternative. Although I initially stated that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may experience slower performance at that framerate. Since this setting is adjustable, I may host a dedicated 60 Hz version on a separate page for users with high-powered CPUs. Overall, Happy Wheels JS aims to be a faithful remake of the original in both design and gameplay. The user database, levels, and replays remain unchanged since the original release. The only thing lost is the looming threat of the universe's end. To play, use the arrow keys to move left and right, and press the spacebar to jump.
